Proper Walk

My name is Michael Farley, the founder of the Proper Walks that raise money to help AIDS orphans and other very vulnerable children in Makindu, Kenya where I served in the Peace Corps thirty years ago. The Walk will take place August 11 – 21 in the Rift Valley in Kenya's northern frontier. For a map and description click here.

The following 2008 Proper Walk participants have agreed to raise a minimum of $10,000 and pay their own personal expenses to hike in Kenya’s northern frontier. The goal of the Proper Walk is to raise $100,000 for the Makindu Children’s Program as well as raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic and its impact on the children of Africa.
