Proper Walk

My name is Michael Farley, the founder of the Proper Walks that raise money to help AIDS orphans and other very vulnerable children in Makindu, Kenya where I served in the Peace Corps thirty years ago. Proper Walk 2008 represents the fourth walk in the ongoing "adventure for a cause" fundraisers.

Proper Walk 2008 is complete with 151 tough miles with $110,000 raised. To read about the 2008 Walk "adventure for a cause" click here.

The following 2008 Proper Walk participants have agreed to raise a minimum of $10,000 and pay their own personal expenses to hike in Kenya’s northern frontier. The goal of the Proper Walk is to raise $100,000 for the Makindu Children’s Program as well as raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic and its impact on the children of Africa.
