Proper Walk

The Proper Walk 2010 Team will take their first steps on August 19th 2010. The fifth edition of the Proper Walks will start in Akeret, which is in the Tiati Mountain Range on the west slope of the Great Rift Valley. The Walkers will head south west to Kaloa then down to the Kerio River Valley. Their trek will take them back across the top of the north end of the Tugen Hills, down to the big sand river, Sibilo, that runs into Nginyang, (on the way to the Suguta Valley – site of the first Proper Walk). The Walk follows Sibilo River south below the Tugen Hills with a final hike back to Lake Bogoria.

Also, Joshua Dowell, one of the 2010 Walkers, has created a blog to document his experience preparing for the Walk, walking in Kenya, and he will also write about his after the Walk reflections. It’s called "Walking for The Makindu Children’s Program, Kenya, East Africa."
